Oh yeah, chinese, baby!!

Tue Dec 22, 2009, 5:08 PM
Well merry Christmas to everyone...
My life in Hamburg is going sooo well so far, I've had a lot of difficulties at the beginning and some inbetween but at the moment I feel really at home at the university and in my new dormitory room. During the last two weeks I've also actually painted again, after not having touched a brush at all since god knows when.
Step by step there are certain improvements in my chinese which is probably because I speak it a lot. The only thing that bothers me about my new-found addiction is the fact that it takes up all of my time and there is nothing left for all the other languages I have learned before and would like to practice again...it's such a shame...even english doesn't come as naturally to me as it used to before I went to China...well I guess I just have to work hard and maybe take some courses at the university like business english or french conversation...麻烦啦

China

How can time move so fast?? My trip to China is actually 10 weeks long, but right now I feel as if I just arrived yesterday and went back to Germany tommorrow...That's just driving me a little crazy...But if I sit down to ponder everything that's happened, then yes, I must say it was a lot :) I don't know, I'm pretty sure Germany will seem a bit strange to me in the few weeks after I go back...too few people in the streets, expensive public transport, real german bread (and breakfast)...living in a family and talking with people every day, actually talking and not just exchanging essential information (because my Cantonese is, after about 2 months, still only that: enough for saying talking about the essentials...maybe thats because there a few people to have a chat with here...my social circle is compromised of my hostsisters family...and that's it. Unfortunately, I have, on my sightseeing trips, not gotten to know as many people.)

So I'm looking forward to changing my current location to "Bundesrepublik Deutschland" again on the 1st of october ;)

All our exchange students(from Hongkong and Kiew) are gone now...and next week I will also go away...for almost three months I will live with my hostsister in Hongkong and somehow I have to manage the immatriculation to university and getting a dorm room in Hamburg o.o Furthermore, I will be studying at a language school in China, learning Mandarin and if it's possible, Cantonese...after I come back I've got less than a week to get my driver's licence and move to Hamburg. I hope I will be back early enough to take part in the Orientation proceedings at the university.........awww, I'm soooo worried...

Preparing my life

Sun Jun 21, 2009, 1:29 PM
The time for a new episode, a new phase of my life has come...I'm currently busy writing applications for universities, banks and checking out all kinds of other stuff like information about dormitories because I'm going to have to move to some other city in Germany...but next week will offer some free time, because I will be on vacation with some of my friends and since I won't be taking my laptop or at least I won't have any access to the internet, which forces me to spend my time doing something like lazing about on the beach or reading a book.

OK, back to my applications...

Practices for the musical begin on Thursday, this week^^ but I have a cold...I hope that my voice will be ok then...
