"Dawnbreak in Spring" by Meng Hao Ran
I love illustrating chinese poetry, because at first nobody knows why there's a tree or something and so their interest is aroused, and then they begin to ASK questions. So they cannot just walk by and think nothing of the picture. Maybe someday I'll come around to illustrating some german poetry, I'd like that very much... Ok I'll try to translate, however the first line is kind of confusing... "I sleep in spring, don't register the dawn, everywhere, I hear the birds' cries, and when night came, the wind's and rain's voices, who knows how many blossoms have fallen?"
